In-Text Citation Guidelines
- Place citations in parentheses. E.g.: (Smith 1980; Chapman 1981); (Leahu 2016, p. 23).
- If the citation follows the author’s name, use only the year and page: According to I. Leahu (2016, p. 23).
- For two authors: always include both names.
- For more than two authors: list all at first citation; afterwards use “et al.”
- Use idem (italic) to replace the author’s name when citing a different work by the same author.
- Use Ibidem (italic) for successive citation from the same author and work.
- If the same author has multiple works in the same year, differentiate with lowercase letters: (Leahu 2016a, p. 556).
- For web sources with author: e.g., (Saramându 1996). Without author: use the page title in parentheses (Elaborarea și prezentarea rapoartelor de activitate pentru anul 2020).
